There is a team of dedicated individuals who over the years have been building custom swag packages for the homeless in the Tweed area.
The swags consist of a sleeping bag, a camp matt, and a tarp, all rolled into a tight, easy to carry, over the shoulder solution that is well loved by those in need of a warm bed.
The swags are built in batches of 40 or so two or three times each year as it gets colder. They are distributed through homeless shelters and drop in centres.
You can support this initiative by donating new or used sleeping bags, camp matts or tarps to the team.
